Description
Cross ties — bars for a support of rails. For Russia the standard of values of an epyura of laying of cross ties (quantity of cross ties on 1 km of a railway track) makes 1840, 2000, 1600 or 1440 cross ties/km. The epyura of laying of cross ties of 1840 pieces/km on direct sites and 2000 pieces/km in curves is applied generally.
Standard length of wooden cross ties is 2750 mm for wood with humidity no more than 22%. Cross ties are issued from coniferous breeds of wood, mainly from a pine. Cross ties for prevention of rotting impregnate with antiseptics.
We let out 3 types of cross ties in accordance with GOST (78-2004):
• cut (4 parties are sawn round);
• semi-cut (3 parties are sawn round);
• not cut (2 parties are sawn round opposite, two others can be sawn through partially).
